My honey told me today that he doesn't want me to lose all of my curves. I sent him this picture today and that was his response...he thinks I'm getting too small!! Now mind you, I send him pictures of me all of the time as we are weathering a long distance relationship. I live in Seattle and he lives in New Orleans. We haven't seen one another since late April. I've lost approximately 33 pounds since then.
He's watched me transform myself and this entire time he's just rolled with it. He's respected my choices as far as what I choose for my body. This is the first time since we've been together that he's given me his opinion without me asking.

So I have new things to consider. I want to lose more belly so that means more fat loss. I'm loving the muscle forming in my arms and legs. I'd never had large boobs before weight gain so losing those hasn't been an issue for me. I've always had ass and my honey is an ass man so I feel where he's coming from. He said, "I don't want to be with a narrow ass woman so please don't lose all your curves." I respect his opinion and I don't plan on turning my ass into muscle BUT I want to reach my goal!
As I lose weight I'm noticing that my body is more athletic than stripperesque! My honey being born and raised in the south gives him an appreciation for meat on the bones lol! I'm thinking this is why my weight when we met was never an issue for him. I love that about him. No matter what I know he'll support and love whatever size I end up at. That's what loving someone unconditionally is all about...I'm blessed to know love like this.
Gotta love southern men. :) My fiance feels the same way about too much loss, I know in his eyes I'll always be beautiful so it truly is a blessing to find a good man to love you through all sizes and seasons.
ReplyDeleteThey are a different breed of men that's for sure! Me being born and raised in the pacific NW, I know that the men here prefer smaller women. I always knew I'd marry a man from the south lol! They love all the curves!
ReplyDeletethis is an old post but i'm wondering why is ok for a man to say don't lose any more weight i like u bigger but then ppl throw hissy fits if he says don't gain more weight i like u smaller?
ReplyDeleteMimi I don't know? I feel like as my partner he has a right to respectively voice his opinion either way. He never mentioned my weight when I was heavier though.
