I need to refocus!

What a wonderful weekend! The honey came from N.O. to spend time with me! This was also the first time that he met my girls. I am convinced that they now love him as much as I do! After living 2000 miles apart for the first year and a half of our relationship, it's comforting to know that he's only a car ride away now! Or even better, a 45 minute plane ride away!

Me and my sweetheart :-)

Tomorrow I weigh in for my monthly post. I'm thinking I need deserve a pass, I've only worked out once in the last two weeks! This is the longest break I've taken since I started my journey. Truth be told I needed this rest. With all things brand new in my life, I haven't been focused.

I need a moment to recharge and refocus my efforts. I'm still undecided about rejoining the YMCA in Houston or joining a gym? I chose the Y in Seattle because childcare is inclusive in the membership. Paying extra for childcare to workout isn't on my agenda!

Oh and as of today I am back to work (started my new job) after being off for three weeks. I'm thankful for the blessing of not having to start working right away when I arrived, but I was ready to get back to work.

My bank accounts are screaming for TLC after this relocation!

Say ahhhh!

I've finally relocated!!! Time to say ahhhhh! I've been in Houston for a week now, still getting settled before I start work next Monday. I haven't had a lot of time to breathe with everything I've had to get done.

I arrived at the perfect time, the weather here has been beautiful! My girls are adjusting well, they are loving not having to wear their heavy winter coats! The two of them never cease to amaze me! I thought it would be a difficult transition for them, well not so much! They love their new school & teachers (I also love it) and are making new friends.

These are pictures of them playing at the park next door to our home :-)

My personal well being is pretty good, considering all of the changes. I haven't done a workout in a week but I've been ripping and running so much, I haven't gained any weight. Unfortunately I have been eating WAY too much fast food..smdh!

I've bought a skillet and pot to cook with until all of my stuff being shipped arrives. To be honest I'm sick of fast food and I've had enough to last me the rest of the year!

On another happy note, my honey is coming to see me in a couple of days, I'm excited! He helps keep me sane. With everything going on he continues to support and stand beside me. I really don't know what I would do without him? I never want to find out, that's for sure!

The brunt of my relocation list has been done, I only have a couple big things left to accomplish. My sights are now set on buying a home (enrolling in a first time home buyers program) which I'd like to do within two years. I work on my major goals in sections. First it was weight loss check, then the relocation check and now it's the house!

I'll be able to go online today (internet being installed as I write this) and attempt to do my first vlog. Not exactly sure what I'll talk about just yet, I think I've pretty much caught up everything with this post lol! Maybe I'll just do a little introduction piece?

Anyhoo, thanks for all of the well wishes and prayers for this transition! My girls and I are so very thankful!

One of my favorite photographs of myself

I was supposed to post a picture from the boudoir photo shoot I did in December 2010 but I had to choose one that was appropriate to share. In all honesty I fell in love with just about all of my photographs.

This particular photo happens to be one of the best I've ever taken. Thanks to Seattle Boudoir Photography for the beautiful job they did!

I love me some dresses!!

Yesterday my baby Mimi had to stay home from school because she was sick the day before. I haven't really spent my week off doing anything specific. I had decided that I needed to go to Nordstrom to be properly fitted for a bra. Since my weight loss I hadn't had myself measured.

We had breakfast then had a little time to kill before Nordstrom's opened. Well Macy's was open so we went in there! I made the mistake of "browsing" at dresses one of my weaknesses and ran across a fierce little Calvin Klein number! Of course I had to try it on!!

A size 10 beauty!!! Oh how I loved this dress!! Mimi reminded me I was only supposed to try the dress on, not buy it! The ONLY reason why I didn't drop the money on it was because one of the little straps on the inside that helps to keep it on the hanger was caught in the zipper..damn! I checked the rack for another size 10, no luck!

I've contemplated going to another Macy's to buy that dress, I just can't justify spending the money on it right now with all of my upcoming moving expenses. Oh and I still needed new bra's!!

Off to Nordstrom we went! The sales lady brought me to a dressing room and measured me. She wrapped the tape around me and rattled off "you're measuring somewhere between a 32-34, let me go grab you a few items to start with!"

Seriously, 32-34!!! She comes back to the room with both C & D cups in size 34. I started with the D cup and well guess what...perfect fit! So my official bra size is 34D! That's a big damn deal as far as I'm concerned! I was convinced before I walked in the store that I was a B cup! WRONG!!

I'm not even going to tell you how much money Nordstrom violated my pocketbook for, but I have two brand new bra's that fit like a glove!

I also realized that a 34D is hard to find once we went to Walmart (my honey laughed, from Nordstrom to Walmart no stops in between lol) and I browsed the lingerie section. So it looks like I'll be buying my bra's online. It was a very successful shopping trip, yet I'm still "jones-ing" for that Calvin Klein dress!

Random Ish'!

I went out last Saturday, supposed to be celebrating my cousin's birthday BUT she didn't even make it in the club...too much vodka! So the rest of the crew went on in and had a great time without her! Here's a pic from that night.

Anxiety is starting to set in, I'm leaving in 6 days! I'm going to miss my family dearly! All of my immediate family is in Seattle (mom and dad's sides). Although my siblings get on my nerves from time-to-time I wouldn't trade them for anything. Here's a pic from last Saturday of my sister Marquita and my baby Mimi.

Yes I know my daughter looks more like my sister than me...go figure lol!

My niece Lyric LOVES her auntie (me)...she's my little love bug! Check her out in her birthday tutu...isn't she cute!!!

I've got so much on my mind! This is why I am up in the 4 am hour writing a blog post.

Oh yeah, one more random thought! I gave my 7 year old my iPhone 3GS and bought myself an iPhone 4...what was I thinking???? She is telling everyone that she has an iPhone lmao! Thank the lord for Smart Limits on AT&T! I've got limits and restrictions on everything!

February weight & stats

I was supposed to do this on the 1st but I was busy! I didn't take pictures at the beginning of January (fail) like I have for the past year but that's okay!

Current weight 2/5/11 is: 164.8
Bust: 34.5
Waist: 29
Hips: 39.75
Arms: 12, 11.75
Thighs: 22.75, 23

This is the lowest weight I've been in 11 years! Wooohoooo! It was tough working off those few pounds I gained while I was in Houston & New Orleans! I can't say I've been super diligent about tracking my food this week because I haven't.

I'm ready for my life to go back to a somewhat normal schedule. My workout schedule stays pretty consistent but planning my meals has become nonexistent.

I'm also giving up posting my weekly weight since I've reached my initial goal. I don't think it's necessary for me any longer. I will be doing a beginning of the month weight, stats and progress picture post though :-). I'll try to add a full body photo later!

Less than two weeks to go!

I should be sleeping but spinning in the evening has me all jacked up! My honey saw the infomercial for the spinning workout system and wrote down the information for me (he knows I'm an addict) so that I can get my own spinning bike for home!! I'm so damn excited!

Something else to be excited about...I officially have a TX address, I found my place! I will be able to move into my own abode as soon as I arrive! I'm praising God again and again!

The main pieces of my relocation puzzle are coming together so seamlessly. My cousin Yani told me yesterday that I'm making it look easy! I've planned and researched for over a year, I didn't just up and decide to move.

Y'all don't even know how enormously thankful I am for all of the support!
