My very FIRST outfit post!

The weather was nice enough yesterday morning to wear what I intended to wear to church last week, here it is!

I immediately fell in love with the shape of this dress as well as the $4 price tag! Let's see if I can get a good grade from my fashion instructor Queen Reiko @ Gods Favorite Shoes

Dress- thrifted, Belt- thrifted, Necklace & Earrings- Anne Klein, Shoes- Nine West

I like the way this turned out! My girls took turns taking the pics so there are a few from both of them :-). They're learning a few things too! I noticed while editing the pics that my necklace is crooked!! Dang it! Oh well!

This was fun and I can see myself thinking more about what I wear and how I wear my clothes. Watch for the next outfit post!

What a difference a year makes!

Last year this time I was quite happy with my weight loss progress. This year I am amazed with it! Although I have witnessed my own transformation through my pictures, I thought it would be fun to do a same style Memorial Day picture since my outfit was easy to repeat!

These are the same tanks but I need to buy a size small, these are getting too long! The skinny jeans aren't the same, I think last year the jeans were a size 16, possibly a size 14?? This year they are a size 10 and are getting too big as well!

Next year I aim to be ecstatic about my progress! Hard work continues to pay off!

I am....Sasha Fierce lol!!!

This is my party dress from last night. My honey told me I looked like Sasha Fierce after he saw the pictures lol! I like to glam up and go out every once in awhile. When I do go out it's a transformation and my new smaller body makes it SO much more fun!!

Sweater dress!

I've been wanting a sweater dress since fall hit but I wanted to wait until I was able to buy a size 10 (medium). I found this cute little number at Ross right along with several others that I fell in love with! As much as I'd like to buy a new sweater dress every couple of weeks, it's just not a practical clothing item for Houston. Until I find something equally as cute suitable for the southern climate...I'll just love all over this!

Allowance for curves!

I have come to a conclusion. Although I am happily wearing a size 12 pant…I’m realizing that my jeans still need a little give (stretch)! I have been blessed with big legs, or at least my honey thinks it’s a blessing! I’ve worked hard to remove a considerable amount of inches from my thighs and hips but I still don’t think it’s necessary for me to wear “regular” jeans without a little spandex! I am a black woman and I am built like a black woman. I have curves in all the right places. I’m learning each day to love my body more and more. I’ve accepted that even with wearing a smaller size, I still have to make an allowance for my curves. That’s my reality!
