Last weekend

My baby sister Chaz was in town last weekend for a short but necessary visit! She'll be in Seattle for the holidays so the girls and I won't see her until we venture to Dallas next month.

She accompanied me to my office holiday party New had to work (sad face here) and we had a blast!

After appetizers

The "official" party pic!

Last year I won a Target gift card AND an iPad! This year jewelry :)

I can't remember if this was taken before or after at the house??

I've been fooling around with lashes...something I said I'd NEVA do! Not those ugly batwings though O_0! Also I've been experimenting with different looks since I have a growing stock pile of makeup and tools, thanks to the man in my life! He forked over the $$$ for my birthday haul, and he never complains when I show him what else I've found i.e. purchased lol!

My sister had the bright idea to make a gingerbread house with the girls from scratch...another 0_o! We were already on a tight schedule from the outing she planned but she insisted!

We ended up coming home after the party and staying up until 2 am finishing this house sigh...

The house is monogrammed and all!! Happy holidays!

If you didn't see the girl's and my holiday shoot for 2012...take a look!

Love of my life...the B.F.F.

****Pic heavy post****

After many failed and not so great relationships I remember asking the lord to bless me with a man that would become my best friend.

Someone that would protect and provide for me, someone that would love me and my girls unconditionally. He's done all of those things and more.

God heard me for sure and sent me the man that I want to grow old with. The man I want to have a family with..it's going to be a "beautifully blended" family!

He came along when I had all but given up on the idea of truly being in love. He came into my life when I had the least amount of confidence in myself. He looked past my 275 pound body and saw my heart.

I didn't ask for this distance but we fell in love, there was no turning back from that. Truth be told had we met 10 years ago we'd probably have 6 or 7 kids together lol!

He's one of the best people I know hands down and I'm looking forward to seeing where God will lead us in the future. For now I'm going to keep loving him and appreciating what we do have because it's special.

Thank you Daniel of 7dstudioz for your beautiful work once again!

I see you too!

First thing I'd like to say is I sometimes feel awful that I don't have time to frequent some of your blogs :-(. My life is busy but very rewarding! I can't say thank you enough for continuing to rock with me!

Full time (single) mommy, full time employee, full time GF to my honey, full time friend and part time side hustler lol! I will try my best to jump on my fav blogs and comment more often :-)

It's not easy being me but I'm blessed, I cannot complain! I don't have a lot of time to myself and I'm always behind on projects I'd like to complete. I still wouldn't trade my life for anything...it makes me who I am and I love ME!

Well last weekend I tackled a few of those projects!! I'm pumped! I scored in a MAJOR way on Saturday!!

I don't want a "traditional" bed frame, for some reason I tend to break them?? Anyhoo...I wanted a headboard that hangs behind my bed on the wall. Initially I thought about hanging 8 x 10 pictures in black wooden frames. After kicking around this idea for over a year I ran into these at Hobby Lobby and my idea came to life!!

These are 48 x 48 canvases!! So originally these are $74.99 a piece! Well I got them for $24.99 a piece!!! A steal!!! Why you ask??? They have two small tears in the canvas both will easily be covered with my photos!

I won't give it all away right now but I will share the project and the finished product! I'll be using the photos the girls and I took during the holidays!

Tonight I'll take a few pics of my new work space (I also set that up last weekend) and the pretty flowers I made inspired by Pinterest!

Last but most definitely not least, I got in 5 workouts last week! Yes ma'am I'm on right now!!

2011 holiday card!

I sent out every single holiday card I had printed to family & friends so I don't have one for myself (sigh)! I had to go online to the site I ordered them from to get a copy of the card I sent out to share with you all!

Everyone LOVED the cards! I'm happy! Thank you Vista Print for giving me such an awesome product! Because my cards turned out so nice, I ordered a calendar for 2012! Funny I'm already thinking about our photo shoot for 2012! The direction will be different, totally different! Watch and wait for it!

Holiday Photo Shoot 2011..Texas Edition!

*******Pic heavy post*******
All photography by 7DSTUDIOZ...thank you SO much Daniel Davis!!

I'm sharing some of my FAV pictures from our holiday photo shoot! I'm not a "cookie cutter" type of chick and family holiday pics at the local Walmart just wouldn't do for me!

It was SUPER windy when he started shooting and instead of being overly conscious (I was having a mini panic attack) about our hair and whatnot, I just left the outcome up to God! He NEVER fails me!

Here's a vlog of the wind!

The girls LOVE taking pictures and let me tell you they were ready!

This has been an amazing year for me and these pictures capture the happiness and joy that I am filled with!

The Christmas card shot!!

I can't share them all (unfortunately) but I am totally over the moon and pleased with how these photos turned out!

What you see in myself and my girls is love shining bright! After all of the bad thing I went through...
We're still standing!

Randomness..is that even a word?

It's Wednesday, mid week, mid day..randomness on the brain..Yaaass!

Through the end of the year, every Friday I plan to write and post a "Dear:" letter to a few people in my life. I have things I'd like to get off my chest before the start of 2012. I won't say who I'm writing them to just yet but they will be completely honest and from my heart.

I was sent the link to my photo shoot gallery today...OMG the photos are gorgeous!! I am glad that I stuck with my plans and did it this year as well! I started thinking, do we really need to do a shoot every year? YES we do!!

I highly suggest doing this, even if it's just you in the photographs. Hopefully when my girls are grown they'll appreciate me giving them something that shows who they really are in pictures.

It's hella cold outside SO I skipped spinning last night, I decided to lift weights at home this morning upper body and abs...I miss it at home and I'll run a couple miles on the treadmill tonight.

I need a new heart rate monitor, thought I wanted a Bodybugg now thinking I want something else? Honey says I flip flop too much..humph!

Well I did kind of ask him to buy me this dress for Christmas and then...

I told him this morning that I want the heart rate monitor *shrugs*

Even though I flip flop often, honey loves me so he says, "Okay just let me know." EASY! Now which one should I get?

Holiday photo shoot 2011!

This weekend the girls and I did our 2nd annual photo shoot! I decided as of last year that I'm going to hire a photographer each year to do professional photographs of the girls and I. Last year we took them in the summer at home Seattle home :-). It's too damn hot in Houston summertime...just not feasible to do a summer shoot lol!

What I wore..pics from my camera, wait til you see the full length shots of my dress!!

Originally we were supposed to do this last Saturday but the photographer got sick AND it rained ALL day! Happy for the reschedule but it was super windy out! I kept thinking about my and the girls' hair, how was it going to turn out?

What the girls wore! My mom buys their Christmas dresses every year and this was the dress from 2010

This dress was thrifted! I believe it cost me $4.80!! STEAL of the year! I can't wait to post the photos the photographer took! I mean I totally love the way the dress photographed with the wind blowing!

Before we went to this shoot, my friends and I took pictures with our girls at JC Penney. It was a long day :-)

Christmas dresses from mom 2011!

All in all this weekend was all that and a bag of chips! I'm happy, and that is everything to me right now! Have a great week!!
