2011 In Review Vlog!!

So after too much time and frustration, I think I've finally figured out a way to do quick and easy vlogs on the iPad with the Reel Director app!! I've been trying to figure this out for the last week and a half...smdh! That being said you'll see way more vlogs from me in 2012! Yay!! I'll try to keep them short so editing can be kept to a minimum.

I also switched blogging platform apps on my iPad again. Currently I am using the Blogsy app which I absolutely LOVE! It's not cheap @ $4.99 but you really do get what you pay for! The Be Write HD app for the iPad is garbage! It's not user friendly at all! Waste of $$$ but oh well, onward I go! 

I'll do a vlog review on my Polar FT 40 heart rate monitor this week :-)...all smiles about that! 

Hopefully with practice I'll get better at recording myself, please be patient with me lol!

2011 holiday card!

I sent out every single holiday card I had printed to family & friends so I don't have one for myself (sigh)! I had to go online to the site I ordered them from to get a copy of the card I sent out to share with you all!

Everyone LOVED the cards! I'm happy! Thank you Vista Print for giving me such an awesome product! Because my cards turned out so nice, I ordered a calendar for 2012! Funny I'm already thinking about our photo shoot for 2012! The direction will be different, totally different! Watch and wait for it! 

Mid Week Randomness!

I miss my blog so I had to post today! I recorded a vlog over a week ago, I've been fooling around with it, trying to figure out the best app for my new iPad to edit it with? I want to vlog more, I also want/need an easy way to edit and post...I'll get there soon!

I plan to simplify, streamline and organize my entire life in 2012! I'm going paperless!! I am in the process of scanning all of my important documents so that I won't have paper cluttering my world. I don't function well in a disorganized space lol! In order for me to take my design business to the next level, organization is key!  In case you missed my 2012 vision board post, check it out here!

I'm also now blogging from a different app! I have been using BlogPress on my iPhone for almost a year now. From time to time the app would have issues but I remained loyal! Well I decided to pay and download the iPad version...FAIL! It has bugs that continually causes it to crash! The app on my phone is also crashing with the iOS 5 software update! I'm highly irritated and pissed off! Well this new app has more functions but I'm still getting used to it. So I apologize in advance if some of my posts look a little funny O_o

I cannot believe Christmas is only a few days away!!! I absolutely LOVE the holiday season! I never typically ask for anything specific but this year I did ask for a study bible (mom & stepdad bought and sent it over a month ago) and a heart rate monitor (honey paid for this). The iPad 2 came unex

I also received a pair of uber cute gloves and a crystal elephant (my manager), a $25 gift card to Target (office party raffle) and a $25 gift card to Pappadeaux (one of the docs in my group)! All this and it's not even Christmas yet!! 

I totally get that this season is not about gifts, I scaled back my girl's gifts quite a bit this year. The doll house I bought is MAJOR so I'm sure they'll be happy no matter what! I have next week off as well and they are looking forward to me hanging out at home with them. I can't wait!

I've said this before but I've truly had the most amazingly blessed year! So many major life changing events, and so many people that have loved and supported me through it! Thanks followers, y'all are the bomb.com!

I'm sharing some of my FAV pictures from our holiday photo shoot! I'm not a "cookie cutter" type of chick and family holiday pics at the local Walmart just wouldn't do for me!

 It was SUPER windy when he started shooting and instead of being overly conscious (I was having a mini panic attack) about our hair and whatnot, I just left the outcome up to God! He NEVER fails me!

Weekend recap!!! Woot! Woot!

I have ONE word to describe my weekend..BLESSED! When I tell you God looked out for me, I am not joking! I cannot describe how good I feel! Saturday morning I woke up early to workout because Julianni had her first basketball game and Mimi was cheering for her first game. Julianni's team didn't win but at the end of the game she asked, "mommy did we win or lose?" She didn't even know! That's the love for the game I hope she continues to carry if she keeps playing organized sports. I could also see the joy in Mimi as she cheered :-)!

Saturday evening my girl and I got all dressed up to attend my office holiday party. I always like to take advantage of the opportunity to dress up!



There was a professional photographer there! This was fun! Looked like we were at a high school tolo lol!

Okay so we arrive at the party about an hour in, we had already decided we weren't going to stay long because my friend had somewhere to be. We ate, had a couple drinks, messed up the wobble Julianni would kill me if she knew...time to go!

Throughout dinner they called out raffle ticket numbers for prizes. Not sure how far in but at some point my ticket number was called for a gift card to Target! I LOVE Target so I was happy! Okay let me hurry and get to the GOOD I mean GREAT part!

We were getting ready to leave, standing in the lobby looking for my keys ready to leave, I had already said my good byes. Our HR lady sees me in the lobby and says, "Miesha wait, don't leave they're getting ready to do the drawing for the grand prize!" I say okay and step back into the ballroom at the very back lol!

Well what do you know??? They call my name for the grand prize!! I had NO clue what the grand prize even was? This is what I see her holding!



I'm like cool, I work with all women so this would be semi appropriate if there is a gift card for a nice amount!



I go to the dance floor to get my box, say my thank you's and once again I am headed out of the door! I planned to open the box once I got home!

But that didn't happen! I heard a few people yell for me to open the box! Hmmmm okay, I set down all of my stuff and opened the box...



At first I thought it was a Wii..nice..we already have a Wii BUT then I pull it out and WHAAAT!!!!??? An iPad!!!

All I could think was that this was nothing BUT God..I was planning to buy myself an iPad for Christmas! I mean I was literally one foot out of the door, step back inside for two minutes and I win an iPad!!

For me this wasn't about winning the iPad per say, but most about the circumstances surrounding my winning it. All year long I've been BLESSED tenfold! From reaching my goal weight..having a job AND place before I relocated to Houston..building new friendships here..and last but not least renewing my relationship with God!

I'm tripping because I spoke my awesome year into existence in 2010! I kept telling myself that I'd have an amazing 2011 and I promise I've had one of THE BEST years of my life! Stay tuned for 2012!!!

OMG!!! Does the scale say 165.4???

I can officially say "bye bye to the 170's!! I'm happy!! This morning my weight is 165.4!!! My original weight loss target was 165! This means I am sporting a 109.6 pound loss!! I am jumping for joy!



Again my feet need to be done (doing that tonight) so you're not going to catch my toes showing on the scale...smdh! I feel proud, excited and even more motivated to drop more.

I have worked, worked and worked some more for this. I've been at it for 17 months now. I indeed hit my target, my goal was to reach 165 by January 2011, I have done that! Share my joy!!

Gearing up for 2011 (already)!!

I am making plans to have people join me in 2011 to get on board with healthy living! This is not about setting resolutions for the New Year and not following through. This is about completely changing your lifestyle and making healthier choices and decisions as it relates to food and fitness. I am not an expert but I do know a little bit about effectively losing weight for good. I’ve been receiving such positive feedback from others about me inspiring them to get moving and I feel as though it is my responsibility to give back.

When I started my journey I had no idea that I would be blessed with the opportunity to help others. That was not my motivation or intent. I wanted to get myself together and live comfortable and happy in the body I was given. God will put things before us that we otherwise might not have seen on our own. My friends telling me I should start speaking and helping others was just the beginning. Something is telling me to go forward and make it happen! I’m a Virgo and being a picky perfectionist comes with the territory. I don’t want to do something unless I know I can do it right. I’m giving myself to the end of this year to reach my own weight loss goal AND prepare the forum for 2011!

I’ve got a lot of work to do but I am up for the challenge!
